Overview

General:

  1. The position is hourly (non-exempt).
  2. The work is seasonal.
  3. The Greenskeeper will report to the Golf Course Superintendent/Facilities Manager.

Qualifications:

  1. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  2. A working knowledge of tools and equipment; methods and materials used in Golf Course and Common Area landscaping, planting and maintenance work. Experience is not necessary, but must have a willingness to learn.
  3. Ability and knowledge necessary to safely operate motorized equipment. Experience is not necessary, but must have a willingness to learn.
  4. Capable of moderate lifting and carrying up to 70 lbs.
  5. Passing a drug test, physical and back ground check is a condition of employment.
  6. Have a valid California driver’s license and Social Security card or Passport.
  7. Must provide proof of vehicle insurance and a current DMV driving record.

Duties to consist of but not be limited to:

  1. Rake and maintain bunkers.
  2. Operate power equipment for mowing the golf course putting greens, aprons, fairways, tees and roughs.
  3. Water and fertilize putting greens, aprons, fairways, tees and roughs.
  4. Assist in the repair and maintenance of the water systems.
  5. Assist in spraying non-restricted chemicals on greens and tees.
  6. Assist in the construction of new greens, tees and fairways.
  7. Assist in general maintenance of mechanical equipment, both mobile and fixed.
  8. Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the Golf Course Superintendent/Facilities Manager.
