The individual applicant will perform payroll and accounts payable duties for the FBICC Fiscal Department, the duties and responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Assigned to do clerical administrative support duties in the fiscal department.
  2. Classify, code, cross-reference, and file fiscal correspondence, arrange and store prior year documents, bank statements, account payable files, etc…
  3. Review incoming invoices and bills for correctness and verify purchases with Administrator, Program Director, and Financial Officer.
  4. Prepare payroll, payroll related deductions, and vouchers for incoming invoices for vendors and employees of the FBICC.
  5. Answer and type related correspondence related to position
  6. Responsible for bank deposits, order fiscal department supplies,
  7. Assist in preparing travel vouchers for Tribal employees and Council members and WMIHC staff and patients.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.


Education: High school graduate or equivalent and have two years general accounting experience and a minimum of three years of specialized experience in payroll/accounts receivable/payables.

Experience: Must have computer experience; type 40 words per minute with accuracy.

Other: Must possess valid California driver’s license and be willing to travel for training
