Job Purpose: The Accounts Payable position will provide financial, administrative and clerical services to ensure accuracy and efficiency of operations. This position will be responsible for processing invoices, issuing payments, and maintaining vendor records.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to completion and posting in accounting system
  • Prints and obtains signatures on all accounts payable checks, payment vouchers
  • Answers all vendor inquiries, maintains appropriate, up-to-date vendor records
  • Maintains all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets and corporate accounts payable files
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
  • Assist in month end closing, reconciles AP Aging and corrects discrepancies
  • Maintain company’s buyer’s list for various vendors
  • Setup and manage employee’s fleet and credit card accounts
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices


  • 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience
  • BS in Accounting preferred, not required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Work Environment:

  • The job operates in a professional office environment.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as: computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use wrists, hands and/or fingers, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office product and supplies, up to 40 pounds.
