Overview

Employee is responsible for receiving, filing, auditing, scheduling and paying accounts related to the operation of Greenville Rancheria, working with and under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in providing support for audits and finance projects.

General Qualifications:
a) High School diploma or GED
b) Be eighteen (18) years of age or older
c) Two-year college certificate with emphasis on accounting; or 4-year experience and/or training in accounts payable; or combination of education and experience.

General Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Assign appropriate general ledger account numbers to all purchases/invoices for posting.
2) Review and obtain any invoiced expenditures with copies of supporting documentation.
3) Knowledge and experience in operating a Windows based spreadsheet and ability to setup forms and layouts for the financial accounts payable record keeping.
4) Enter all invoices into computer system for payment.
5) Review all unposted reports with appropriate payables before submission to the CFO for review and approval for payment
6) Obtain Tribal Council signature for all payments.
7) Pay all invoices within terms.
8) Maintain all vendor files and ensure the security of all sensitive documents.
9) Agree to not disclose any trade secrets, directly or indirectly, or use in any way, during the term of my employment or at any time thereafter, except as required in the course of my employment with the company.
10) Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
11) Assist with financial reports to county, state and federal governments.
12) Answer phones for the Fiscal Department, answer questions from vendors, etc.
13) Familiarization of computer systems; fax; multi-line telephone; copy machine; etc.
14) Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal.
15) Maintain a positive, pro-active, and professional demeanor with fellow employees.
16) Assist and interact with the public in a professional manner.
17) Display a high level of attention to detail.
18) Exercise good judgement in analyzing and solving problems.
19) Work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
20) Maintain good attendance and be punctual.
21) Maintain a “professional image’ in your appearance and hygiene.
Physical Requirements:
22) Sit for extended periods of time
23) Be able to sustain prolonged standing, bending, stooping and light lifting without pain. (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable an individual with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)
24) Use full range of sense of hearing, speech and vision.
25) Display manual dexterity as applicable to position
26) Pass all medical/employment physical examinations.
