Overview

SUMMARY

The Caregiver is one of the key employees in our Assisted Living Communities.  This position has more contact with residents than any other.  Staff in this position must provide the facility with a continuous stream of information on resident status, needs and issues.  Caregivers must be alert to changes in resident health, attitude and need.  They must be able to transfer this information clearly and concisely through the system to ensure proper action is taken.  The Caregiver must be able to adapt to the changing needs of the facility and the resident population at any given point in time.  They must be able to provide the direct care needed to help residents maintain their highest level of independence.  They serve as the lynch pin on the facility care team.

LEGAL REQUIREMENTS

Employees in this position must successfully pass all governmental and corporate required background investigations, such as, but not limited to, state required criminal history clearance investigations.
