Overview

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Public outreach
  • Answer phone calls and emails
  • Maintain and monitor the Chamber website
  • Market and promote the Chamber to area businesses to attract new members
  • Schedule daily social media posts
  • Develop weekly Chamber newsletter
  • Draft press releases and take pictures for marketing purposes
  • Organize, promote and manage Chamber events
  • Assist with preparing agendas and meeting materials for the Chamber board
  • Attend Chamber board meetings and report to the Board
  • Provide information to visitors about Quincy and Plumas County, including lodging, other businesses, outdoor activities, upcoming events, etc.
  • Track visitor data
  • Supply and re-stock Visitors Center information and retail racks and displays
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Education/Experience: High school diploma required. Experience working with the public.  Must possess strong organizational, computer, and customer service skills and be responsive and able to do rapid research.  Knowledge of social media would be preferred.  Previous experience with marketing and/or event planning would be helpful but not required.

Desired Qualifications: Can work independently and is a self-starter. Knowledgeable of Quincy and Plumas County attractions and is enthusiastic about sharing with visitors.

Hours will vary depending on activities and events.
