Overview

Our company is looking for a career minded individual to become an apprentice Alarm Technician to service our clients throughout the region. This position has the ability to grow into a lucrative and highly sought after career.  This position requires some travel, so a valid driver’s license is necessary.

Our ideal candidate will complete an alarm installation training program and on the job training.  Some professional experience working with low voltage electronics is preferred. You must have a clean criminal record to become certified.

A qualified candidate will be prompt, professional, willing to learn and be proficient at smartphone and emerging technologies in addition to being able to track appointments through our customer relationship management (CRM) software.

Alarm Technician Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Complete alarm installation training program
  2. Obtain certification and hold an active low voltage license
  3. Learn and track appointments through CRM software
  4. Run tests on existing alarm systems
  5. Install new systems in facilities
  6. Program alarm system functions
  7. Perform regular inspections and maintenance
  8. Teach clients how to use the alarm systems
  9. Perform low voltage wiring connections
  10. Diagnose wiring / programming failures
  11. Install wiring in existing structures install and manage many forms of conduit
