Job Time Type: Full Time (30 Hours or More)

Job Description:

Equipment Assembler I – Works on assignments that are routine in nature where limited judgment is required. Normally receives detailed instructions on all work. Requires ability to read and interpret technical drawings and maintenance manuals, mathematics and a variety of precision measuring instruments. Assembles parts according to drawings and specifications using various hand and power tools. Tests and verifies parts and mechanisms meet tolerances. Responsible for ensuring first article inspection of all assigned jobs is performed and documented by appropriate personnel. Requires 1-2 years of hands on mechanical and assembly experience.

Equipment Assembler II – Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments. Requires proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, maintenance manuals and engineering specifications, mathematics and a variety of precision measuring instruments. Assembles parts according to drawings and specifications using various hand and power tools. Tests and verifies parts and mechanisms meet tolerances. Identifies units that fail tests or tolerance levels and reports failures to appropriate personnel. Responsible for ensuring first article inspection of all assigned jobs is performed and documented by appropriate personnel. Requires 3-5 years of hands on mechanical and assembly experience.

Equipment Assembler III – Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. Normally receives no instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments. Proficient in ability to read and interpret drawings, maintenance manuals and engineering specifications, including tolerances and customer specifications, mathematics and a variety of precision measuring instruments. Assembles parts according to drawings and specifications. Proficient in the use of all hand and power tools used for the assembly of product. Tests and verifies parts and mechanisms meet tolerances. Identifies units that fail tests or tolerance levels and reports failures to appropriate personnel. Responsible for ensuring first article inspection of all assigned jobs is performed and documented by appropriate personnel. Requires 5 or more years of hands on mechanical and assembly experience.

Equipment Assembler IV – Works on assignments that are complex in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. Knowledgeable in all of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on experience and industry knowledge to make independent decisions and accomplish goals. Works independently on assignments. Skilled in the use of all assembly machines, tools and equipment. Ability to troubleshoot machine error. Ability to Read and interpret complex drawings, work instructions and identify errors in the specified engineering instructions, measurements or tolerances. May lead and direct the work of others. First Article inspection required after completion of first part. Requires 10 years of hands on assembly experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Assemble various components and systems.
  • Assemble and install subassemblies on harvesters, sweepers and other products.
  • Installation of engine, hydraulic, air filter, air conditioning and electrical systems.
  • Use of manual, power, pneumatic and hydraulic tools to bolt rubber parts to metal, bolt metal parts to metal, install rings in belting, assemble various system components.
  • Perform gas/fluid testing and troubleshooting of systems.
  • Assess and complete tasks by following guidelines within the Company Code of Safe Practices.
  • Wash and polish completed units to prepare for shipment.
  • Required to observe factory work schedules by being on time, in your work area ready to work and remaining on task throughout the workday.
  • Must work well with others as a team.
  • Required to work Overtime in excess of 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, and Saturday per the factory production schedule.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Requires knowledge and skills normally acquired through the successful completion of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience in a manufacturing environment with practical assembly experience.


Minimum Age:
18
Associates Degree, Vocational Instruction or Certification in mechanical assembly or related field a plus.
