Job Time Type: Full Time (30 Hours or More)

Job Description: Under direction of the Director, administer all components of the state of California Mini- Corps program.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES (May include, but is not limited to the following.)

  1. 1. Negotiate and implement service agreements with operating agencies and college administrators to provide Migrant Education supplementary instructional and support services. 2. Develop, implement, and monitor budgets for programs assigned. 3. Develop and implement all program components, including: instruction, staff development, parent involvement, health and evaluation. 4. Supervise and evaluate approximately ten certificated employees. 5. Coordinate with educational and other community agencies to maximize services available to migrant students. 6. Revise existing training curricular segments for in-school special instruction, preinstitute instruction and summer program institute. 7. Produce new curricular segments for in-school special instruction, in-school preinstitute instruction, and summer program institute to assure knowledge and skills acquisition by mini-Corps persons to meet the socio-economic, academic and physical needs of the Migrant Child (these perceived needs are on file in the administration office of Mini- Corps). 8. Produce specifications of methods/media for revised and curricular segments. 9. Procure all instructors necessary to implement developed curriculum for in-school and summer program Mini-corps persons. 10. Determine instructor’s requirements by curricular segments for each participating University. 11. Determine instructional requirements for all institutes. 12. Recruit instructors as required. 13. Monitor in-school special instructional curriculum to assure compliance with design. 14. Monitor college coordinator activities re: counseling and supervision of Mini-Corps field work, etc. 15. Obtain sites for all institutes. 16. Obtain all required instructional materials and equipment. 17. Specify field work supervisor’s activities. 18. Monitor college supervisor in field (classroom) to assure compliance with specifications. 19. Report monitoring findings to the Mini-Corps State Director. 20. Provide instruction information for future planning.

  1. California Teaching Credential. 2. California Administrative Credential. 3. M.A. Degree or equivalent. 4. Bilingual: Spanish/English. 5. Leadership experience in working with parents and community groups in a multicultural setting. 6. Experience in the development and implementation of instructional programs. 7. Experience in the development and implementation of Staff Development programs.

Minimum Salary: 433.80 Day           Maximum Salary: 553.65 Day

Pay Comments: DOE (Depends on Experience)
