Overview

The Bar Manager supervises the Bar staff and bar operations under the guidance of the Director of Food & Beverage and the Restaurant Manager at Lake Wildwood Association.
a. Coordinates and supervises bar operations throughout the day. Works in conjunction with
Restaurant and Catering Manager to provide management coverage. Works as a Bar/Floor
Manager some days as needed.
b. Wide-range knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits. Experience in effective beverage procurement.
c. Train, evaluate, coach and counsel all bar staff.
d. Ensures quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of beverage orders.
e. Adhere to and enforce inventory control measures in the dining and bar area, personally perform
inventory counts at end of month and as needed which includes maintaining the current cost of
inventory.
f. Upholds professional food and beverage image including cleanliness, proper uniform, and
appearance standards.
g. Coordinate with Restaurant Manager and Catering Manager for beverage orders to meet the
sufficient needs of all operations.
h. Coordinates with management team to determine selling prices, menus, and other specifics.
i. Ensure dining area, bar, deck, and work areas follow health codes, sanitation regulations, and
provide a safe environment for guest and employees.
j. Acclimates effortlessly to fast paced, ever changing situations, member expectations and short-term
announcements.
k. Surpasses tight deadlines for events as well as makes informed decisions that exceed member and
client expectations while considering the best interest of the Lake Wildwood Association.
l. Provide onsite support for set-up/teardown, event flow and any other additional support needed.
m. Critiques functions and events to recognize future opportunities and to implement necessary
changes for increased quality and image.
n. Assists in preparing weekly schedules for Special Event personnel in coordination with Restaurant
and Catering Manager to ensure sufficient event staffing.
o. Because of the fluctuating demands of the Club’s operation, it may be necessary that each
employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of this job, the
Bar Manager will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees
are expected to help. Accordingly, the Bar Manager may be expected to perform other tasks not
specifically addressed above.

Education and Experience:
a. Associate degree in food and Beverage or related field preferred.
b. Minimum of 3 years Hospitality Management
c. Knowledge and experience in food and labor cost management
d. Extensive experience with procurement and inventory management
e. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel as well as POS systems
f. Knowledgeable in health and sanitation guidelines as well as HAACP compliance
g. Excellent Communication skills
h. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Strong time management and
organizational skills are mandatory.

members.
Certificates/Licenses:
a. Valid Driver’s License
b. Servsafe Certification
c. RBS Certification

Wage range: $24 to $27.00
