High School Diploma or AA/BA Degree

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assure the safety of each participant in the program.
2. Develop and maintain a clean and nurturing environment.
3. Maintains a positive and helpful attitude with adults and children.
4. Maintains and tracks daily attendance and snack/lunch/breakfast records.
5. Teach and prepare daily, with participants, healthy and nutritious snacks.
6. Order and deliver snack, breakfast and lunch. Create snack menus.
7. Assists individual students in need of special attention.
8. Assists students in the library, media center and tutorial center.
9. Maintains proper level of small and large group control at all times.
10. Able to understand and relate to students who have behavioral, learning or physical disabilities.
11. Ability to employ appropriate behavior management techniques for acting-out behaviors, such as task
avoidance, emotional outbursts, hyperactivity, and hostility.
12. Assists in preparing class and bulletin displays.
13. Assists Site Supervisor with program activities, including Point of Service meal distribution.
14. Facilitates the adult/family/student community agency use of the campus.
15. Serves as a source of information and help regarding the program.
16. May perform clerical duties, run duplicating and audio-visual equipment.
17. Serves as a positive role model through appearance, attitude and proper use of English.
18. Is punctual and demonstrates good attendance.
19. Brings any problem or special information about an individual student to the attention of the Site
20. Maintains the same level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is
expected of all employees.
21. Other responsibilities as may be assigned or reasonably expected of this position.
College student or graduate desired. Technology proficient. Recreation or Afterschool experience. Strong
leadership skills. Competent reading and writing skills. Great communication skills. Experience working with
K- 8
th grade students. Knowledge, ability to work with, and understand students who may have behavioral,
learning or physical disabilities.


1.5 hrs/day, Monday – Thursday, 3:00 – 4:30 pm, 4.0 hrs/day, Friday, 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm
