Job Description and Duties

Duties will include, but are not limited to; operate radio console; answer 9-1-1 calls, assist allied agencies, and provide exceptional service to the general public; document information using computer-aided dispatch (CAD), operate telephone system, and facilitate requests for officers. Working Conditions
Susanville Communications Center maintains 12 dispatchers and utilizes the 3/12 AWW with seniority shift and vacation sign-ups.

The most senior same-class transfer who responds by the final filing date shall be selected.

The position(s) require(s) the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section). You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired.
