24/7 In-Home Caregiver for Adult with Developmental Disabilities – Montague CA
We are seeking 4-5 compassionate, patient, and reliable caregivers to provide 24-hour in-home support for our adult family member. Our loved one is nonverbal, severely developmentally disabled, and relies entirely on others for all daily needs. They are currently cared for by a devoted parent who will continue to be closely involved, but additional support is needed.
Primary Responsibilities:
Providing full assistance with all personal care needs, including bathing, feeding, dressing, diapering and toileting
Supporting mobility needs (wheelchair transfers, assistance with limited walking, and simple physical therapy exercises)
Preparing meals and handling household tasks related to their care (laundry, tidying their space, etc.)
Offering companionship, supervision, and patience, especially during overnight hours.
What We’re Looking For:
CNA certification preferred, but applicants with relevant caregiving experience will be considered
Experience with individuals who have significant developmental disabilities or similar needs is strongly preferred
A naturally patient, kind, and dependable personality
Ability to safely lift and transfer (be to chair, chair to shower, etc.)
Comfortable working in a family home and collaborating with family caregivers
Availability for 12 hour shifts, 3-4 days per week, as we work to provide 24/7 coverage
Potential hires will be required to complete fingerprinting and a background check
Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and availability.
