Overview
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/EDUCATION:
Provide professional daily bedside care to acute and skilled nursing patients perform all nursing treatments within their licensure and use all equipment properly. Assigns CNA’s to care for individual residents and assures that they are aware of the nursing care to be delivered. Administers and documents medication according to facility policy/procedure. Provides direct patient care as necessary and assures call lights are answered promptly and that nursing care is completed and documented as assigned to CNA’s. Maintains confidentiality.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a current LVN license to practice in the State of California. Must possess a current CPR card, California Driver’s license or identification. Must possess an associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and physician’s orders. Ability to write routine reports, correspondence and nurse’s notes. Works well independently and with supervision. Communicates well both orally and in writing.Minimum Education and Experience
