Overview

The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for all aspects of specimen collection, receiving, handling, and processing. This includes transferring ordered tests to the LIS (Laboratory Information System) or appropriate lab slips, processing billing information and charging. The Laboratory Assistant is also responsible for the labs’ clerical and phone duties. EOE

Additional Application:

Required Education: Current California Phlebotomy Certification. Experience: Two years experience in dealing with the public, preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Laboratory terminology and computer keyboard skills, preferred.
