About the Employer
Located in the greater Redding area, the Mountain Valley Special Education JPA is a consortium of 13 small school districts and one charter school that was created to provide a broader continuum of services for students with disabilities.
Job Summary
To provide occupational therapy to assist students is acquiring functional and independent life skills. Works under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, and with special education teams and provides consultation and training to school personnel and families.

First Aid/CPR (for applicable positions)
Certificate program; or
– Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy
– Current registration/license with the State of California.
Comments and Other Information
Start Date: ASAP
Work Hours: up to 7.5 hours per day with 30 minute unpaid lunch; generally 8:00am – 4:00pm depending on site assignment
Benefits; up to $9,656 annually health; dental and vision paid for by JPA
Education Stipend (paid annually for highest level)
– Associates (AA) $300
– Bachelors (BA) $600
– Masters (MS) $1,250
