Head Start/Early Head Start

Salary: $279.57 to $306.30 per day with benefit package

Work Year: 40 hours per week: 12 months, 215 days

Deadline: June 22, 2022 by 5pm

Qualifications:

  • BA Degree in Child Development or related field required, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Must hold or qualify for a Program Directors Permit. Visit https://www.ctc.ca.gov/credentials/req-child-dev for permit requirements.
  • Six (6) years of supervisory experience in Child Development or related field
  • Minimum of five years of related work experience and supervision of adults
  • Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards, Title 5 and 22
  • Knowledge of DRDP, CLASS certification, ERS, Creative Curriculum and Teaching Pyramid is highly desired
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10-30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Valid California driver license and insured reliable transportation.

Job Duties: 

● ensures quality program planning and development
● provides the necessary training and resources to ensure that each employee has the tools and ability to
achieve their key result responsibilities
● coordinates curriculum, social/emotional health, coaching and CLASS implementation to ensure systems
offer high quality outcomes/fidelity
● ensures effective pass-down information and work systems are clearly communicated to all employees
within assigned division
● identifies training needs of staff and arranges in-service trainings to meet those needs
● ensures accountability and appropriate practices are in place
● oversees compliance with all funding regulations, including the State’s Funding Term and Conditions and the
Head Start Performance Standards
● provides internal and external leadership functions
● provides accurate data and information to public schools, public agencies and state and federal entities in a collaboration effort to develop programs and services for families
● assists in policy development and completion of program reports
● assists other division managers with new programs and/or services
