Overview

The right candidate will be responsible for providing compassionate care and assistance to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Prior experience is not required to apply. Some duties expected to be performed by DCS include, but are not limited to:

Maintaining facility cleanliness
Assist residents in daily activities and community involvement
Assisting residents in daily hygienic care
Administration of medications
Food preparation
Proper sanitization practices

It is essential for this position that the person hired is reliable, communicative, and comes to work when scheduled. Our residents are always in need of support and there is no “open-close” schedule for them. Missing work with no contact or missing too much work in general is not tolerable due to the nature of the work we do at C&K Residential.

18 years of age or older, high school diploma or other equivalent, have a current CA driver's license

C&K Residential creates an atmosphere where all people residing in our facility will be able to participate in activities within the local community. We strive and assist in aiding our residents with developing relationships and; life-skills, teaching self-advocacy, assertiveness, independence, appropriate social boundaries, and self-esteem. Training in our program will focus on developing the life skills and social behaviors required by our residents to secure greater independence and self-esteem.

    C&K Residential is operated in the aspect that staff and administration are guests providing supervision, assistance, and training to residents. Our residents have the same freedoms in their homes that any other individual would expect in their own residence.
