Job Title: Coordinator CTE Programs & Services

Job Time Type: Full Time (30 Hours or More)

Job Description: Under direction of a Senior Director or a Site/Program Administrator, the CTE Programs & Services Coordinator supervises various grants, state contracts as well as other state and local funding opportunities associated with Career Technical Education (CTE). The Coordinator organizes, coordinates, and participates in assigned activities with other departments within the Butte County Office of Education, and with local school sites and community partners to support the sustainability of Career Technical Education. The Coordinator communicates with Career Technical Education Center (CTEC) staff, school districts, grant administrators, community partners and administers contract-related duties. The Coordinator assures adherence to grant and contract requirements, and monitors grant and contract deliverables. The Coordinator serves as a resource to CTE teachers, CTE Coordinators, community partners and administrators in matters related to curriculum and instruction and professional development.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES: (May include, but is not limited to the following)

  1. Assist in planning grants and contracts for the expansion, sustainability and approval of CTE programs and pathways
  2. Represent the CTE programs at meetings, workshops & related events
  3. Assist schools/programs with the coordination of CTE grants and contracts
  4. Attend and deliver presentations at various statewide meetings & conferences
  5. Make public appearances and give effective oral presentations about CTE programs, pathways and funding opportunities
  6. Assist in the planning of CTE related instruction and delivery of professional development
  7. Produce and submit official grant and contract proposals for approval
  8. Research grant and contract opportunities related to CTE
  9. Participate in the CTE program review process
  10. Assist with selection of employee positions related to CTE
  11. Prepare required reports related to CTE grants and contracts
  12. Assist staff in the identification and implementation of sound instructional practices as it relates to CTE
  13. Assist with the coordination of articulation, dual enrollment and course sequencing with area high schools and community colleges
  14. Assist with pathway development, course sequencing and assigning of CALPADS course codes
  15. Participate in professional association activities and professional growth

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree required
  2. Valid, unexpired clear California Teaching Credential
  3. Administrative Credential required
  4. Experience working with and oversight of CTE related grants and programs, strongly preferred
  5. Minimum of five years of successful teaching

Minimum Salary: 383.46 Day                 Maximum Salary: 489.40 Day
