Job Title: Deputy Sheriff

 

Job Time Type: Full Time (30 Hours or More)

 

Job Description: The Deputy Sheriff position performs a variety of responsible law enforcement and crime prevention work, including patrolling assigned areas, answering calls and complaints, investigating crimes, serving civil papers, and providing courtroom security; to enforce all federal and state laws and local ordinances related to public safety and welfare at the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office throughout Glenn County. This position is scheduled for forty (40) hours per week with a rotating schedule. This recruitment may be used to establish a list to fill future vacancies for the next six (6) months.

Experience: Some law enforcement experience is desirable

Training: High school diploma or GED equivalent

License or Certificate: Possession of an appropriate valid California driver’s license. Possession of P.O.S.T. Basic Certificate or enrollment in POST Academy.

Hiring Requirements: Drug Testing/Screening, Background Checks, Reference Checks

Education Level: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Requires a Driver’s License: Yes

Minimum Salary: 27.38 Hour                                            Maximum Salary: 33.27 Hour

Pay Comments: DOE (Depends on Experience)
