Overview
Diesel Mechanic responsibilities
Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers
Conduct regular preventative maintenance on trucks, including inspection, brakes and oil changes
Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the shop
Collaborate with repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs
Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks
Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles
Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional evenings, weekends and holidays
Train new mechanics, prepare them for ASE Certification
Ability to work in a team environment in high pressure situations
Any other job/task assigned by Shop Manager
