The Director of Information Technology (IT) is responsible for the infrastructure oversight of all technical operations.  This position is hands-on, working with the IT team to achieve goals, meet quotas, eliminate security risks and increase patient and customer satisfaction.  The Director of IT is a change management expert and is extremely knowledgeable about the hierarchical infrastructure of health care information systems.  Responsibilities include: developing reliable metrics for hardware, software and storage while ensuring strategic capacity planning; directing and supporting implementation of software and hardware upgrades; collaborating with the Systems Analyst to identify and recommend new technology solutions; and managing the IT help desk.   The Director of IT serves as the HIPAA Security Officer for PDH and is responsible for implementing policies and procedures to prevent, detect, contain and correct breaches of Protected Health Information.


Education: Four-year degree required.  Ten years of relevant experience may be used in lieu of education.  Masters degree preferred. Microsoft Windows certificates highly desirable.

Experience: 6+ years’ management experience in an IT environment. 2+ years’ experience working with EMR/EHR systems.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Excellent organizational and communications skills with ability to lead effectively. Ability to supervise the activities of staff, prioritize projects/tasks and resolve problems quickly. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to receive/address service requests in a respectful and tactful manner.
