Job Summary

Provide in-person instructional assistance and interpretation for a deaf student at Junction Elementary School. CALPERS retirement participant.

Requirements / Qualifications

3 Signed Letters of Recommendation
First Aid/CPR (for applicable positions)
High school diploma or equivalent.
Passing score on Instructional Aide Proficiency Exam, 2 years college (48 units), or AA degree or higher.
Certification by the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), or have a score of 4.0 or above on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) or the Educational
Signs Skills Evaluation-Interpreter (ESSE).
Possession of a valid California Driver’s License.

Comments and Other Information

Hours of work: 6 hours/day, 8:30am-3:00pm with a half hour unpaid lunch.
Work days are student attendance days based on the Junction student calendar.
First day of work is ASAP.
