File Clerk I. Incumbents will be expected to work up to 19 hours per week.
This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of general clerical duties with an emphasis on filing in
support of court administrative operations. In this role, incumbents are expected to function as a positive and
cooperative team member.
This is an entry level position in a classification of its own, which requires the incumbent to perform a variety of routine,
repetitive tasks. Incumbent will be responsible to collect, sort, file, and retrieve a variety of documents, case files, and
mail in accordance with established guidelines, policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will be expected to complete assignments with efficiency and accuracy to include: operating
office equipment including telephones, computers, copy machines, scanners, microfilm, and postage equipment,
retrieving and delivering court records and documents, shifting and relocating case files for effective file management
and storage, traveling back and forth from court building to off-site file storage unit to store and retrieve archived files
and documents, preparing and processing incoming and outgoing mail for distribution including sorting, collating,
bundling, and date stamping documents, distributing interoffice mail, as well as other duties as assigned.
