Overview
Department of Fish and Wildlife Trinity River Hatchery is looking for an enthusiastic, self motivated individual to join the CDFW family. This is a Seasonal position with possible career advancement throughout the State of California. This position will give you an opportunity to assist in the spawning of Hatchery and Native fish, develop fish culture skills caring for eggs and fish at various stages of development, feeding of fish, cleaning ponds, troughs and deep tanks and keeping record of fish losses. Throughout the season, you will engage in the care and maintenance of Trinity River Hatchery, weed eating, mowing, pruning vegetation, hauling and disposal of refuse to maintain the landscape and beauty of the Hatchery.
Physical strength and agility; ability to lift 40 pounds; ability to swim 50 yards and stay afloat at least
five (5) minutes.
