Under the direction of the Food Service Support Coordinator and supervision of the Site Administrator, assists in preparation, production and service of a variety of nutritionally balanced meals from fresh, canned, dry or frozen states according to recipes. Provides information necessary for the Food Service II to complete documentation as needed. Maintains clean and sanitary conditions to ensure passage of food program inspections. Practices safe food handling according to Hazardous Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines. During the regular course of work, the Food Service I may have access to sensitive information. It is expected that all employees of the Susanville School District will not release any sensitive information regarding students, parents/guardians, or staff.
Requirements / Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent. One-year experience in commercial or institutional quantity food preparation. Passage of District Food Service Test.
