The Fort Bidwell Indian Community Council (FBICC) is seeking a highly-motivated individual to fill the position of Housing Specialist in Fort Bidwell, CA.
The Housing Specialist has the primary responsibility for the general administrative functions and general operations of the Fort Bidwell Tribal Housing Program. The position is also responsible for providing housing and maintenance related services for Tribal Members of the FBICC located on and off of the reservation in accordance with policies and program guidelines of the FBICC Tribal Housing Program.
The ideal applicant would have completed a high school diploma, GED or high school equivalent. The position requires a minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible administrative/programmatic experience and the ability to obtain and maintain necessary certifications in Indian Housing Management, housing/construction inspections, etc. Must possess a valid CA driver’s license and be able to satisfactorily complete a Criminal Record Check.
Preference in hiring is given to qualified persons who are enrolled members of the Fort Bidwell Indian Community, American Indians in accordance with Title VII of the 1984 Civil Rights Act, Sections 701(b) and 703(1), and the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act (25 U.S. 450, ET. Seq), including other relevant laws, preference in filling all vacancies may be given to qualified American Indian candidates.
