Job Title: Front Office Staff

Job Description:

Hours:             9:30am-6:00pm (may vary), Sunday-Monday-Tuesday

The Front Desk is a fast-paced position which requires ability to multi-task and prioritize with attention to details and accuracy. Must be able to work under pressure to meet timelines with strong organizational and time management skills. Must be able to lead and motivate staff and possess exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to delegate and supervise the tasks of a diverse workforce to ensure a smooth and profitable business. Ensure guests have a positive experience.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Key person of reference for employees and clients as well as external vendors
  • Enhance customer dedication and expand clientele by strengthening our inn’s reputation
  • Supervise staff and set clear objectives to achieve the most efficient operating model
  • Deal with maintenance issues, coordinate with contractors for repairs
  • Inspect facilities regularly and enforce strict compliance with health and safety standards
  • Resolve employee conflicts
  • Greet, register, and direct guests to assigned rooms
  • Make and confirm reservations
  • Keep records of room availability and guests’ accounts
  • Assist in bookkeeping activities, such as balancing accounts and conducting nightly audits
  • Calculate costs of goods or services
  • Collect deposits, payments or fees
  • Record guest comments or complaints, referring customers to General Manager as necessary
  • Advise housekeeping staff when rooms have been vacated and are ready for cleaning
  • Answer inquiries pertaining to services, guest registration, and travel directions, or make recommendations regarding shopping, dining, entertainment and outdoor recreation
  • Clean and maintain lobby and common areas, such as restocking supplies and watering plants
  • Occasionally assist housekeepers with light cleaning

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Effective team leader with the ability to foster a climate of cooperation
  • Work well unsupervised with ability to independently make decisions and take appropriate action
  • Excellent customer service skills as well as a business mindset
  • Strong computer skills with aptitude of hotel management software
  • Ability to manage your time efficiently with multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with guests
  • Must maintain a professional manner under stress and have excellent communication skills
  • Meticulous, conscientious, reliable, honest, friendly
  • Understanding of hotel management best practices and relevant laws and guidelines

Education Level: No Minimum Education Required

Minimum Salary: 15.00 Hour                                               Maximum Salary: 20.00 Hour
