Job Title: Grants Project Manager
Employer: Modoc Resource Conservation District
Pay Range: $32.00 – $38.00/hr (DOE)

Description:
Modoc Resource Conservation District (MRCD) seeks a temporary part-time Grants Project Manager to lead grant project planning and implementation. This role entails close collaboration with diverse stakeholders, including federal, state, and local agencies, as well as the public. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for enhancing local conservation and land stewardship in Modoc County to ensure long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management: Facilitate contracts between partners, subcontractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Site Evaluation: Assess potential project sites for current and future initiatives, considering ecological and agricultural factors.
  • Project Oversight: Manage the planning and implementation progress of grant-funded projects, ensuring compliance with objectives and timelines.
  • Team Supervision: Direct contract crews and consultants on project sites, providing guidance and support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Modoc County Natural Resources: Familiarity with the region’s natural resources and conservation challenges.
  • Local Ecology and Agriculture: Understanding of local ecological systems and agricultural practices.
  • Proficiency in Mapping Services: Experience with mapping tools such as ArcGIS and GPS navigation.
  • Strong Outdoor Skills: Ability to work effectively in outdoor environments, often in remote or rugged terrain.

Compensation:
This position offers a flexible schedule within a positive, fast-paced environment. Successful performance may lead to a pay increase after 12 months. Additionally, eligible employees will receive paid time off (PTO), including sick leave and holidays, upon meeting MRCD’s employment and time requirements.
