Do you want to help make a difference in our community? This position might be for you! Empower Tehama seeks an experienced group facilitator to provide group services and support for program participants.

Empower Tehama is a nonprofit organization in rural Northern California. Our mission is to promote healthy relationships and social change in our communities. We offer many services for individuals and families affected by domestic violence including crisis intervention, support advocacy, legal services, housing assistance and counseling.

About the Job: Group Services will assist Prop 47 and BIP participants with identifying, implementing and achieving goals found through a comprehensive assessment; develops, coordinates, manages, and monitors case plans for participants; refers participants to needed community resources and assist participants with accessing those resources necessary to meet their case plan goals. Works closely with other group services staff to ensure program efficiency, accurate documentation and consistency in services. Coordinates and builds relationships with community partners to avoid duplication of services; assist clients with identifying and addressing barriers to success in obtaining and securing housing; facilitates or co-facilitates groups about relationships, life skills, anger management, etc. Must be able to clearly and accurately document services provided to clients and other duties as assigned.

Must be proficient in Outlook, WORD, and Excel; Must be well organized, good decision-making, attention to detail. Must be able to work with a broad range of people and maintain an environment that is conducive to serving high-risk populations and people in crisis. Strong active listening skills, good decision-making, a non-judgmental and accepting attitude. Requires completion of a 40-hour domestic violence crisis intervention certification training (a post-hire requirement).

This position is fulltime (40+ hours per week). Staff may be required to work weekends and/or after hours. Upward mobility is available from this position.
