Position
Mt. Lassen Trout Farms, Inc. is seeking a dependable, hardworking individual to join our
team as a Trout Hatchery Technician at our Lost Creek facility near Hat Creek, California.

This is a year-round, full-time position offering:

Schedule:
• Minimum 40 hours per week

About Mt. Lassen Trout Farms
Since 1949, Mt. Lassen Trout Farms has been raising trout for recreational fishing and
supplying fresh trout to consumers throughout California. We operate multiple fish-rearing
facilities in the foothills of Mt. Lassen, with our headquarters located near Manton,
California.
The successful candidate will work at our Lost Creek facilities on Bidwell Ranch near Hat
Creek.
Position Responsibilities
This position is primarily outdoors and includes a variety of hatchery and maintenance
duties, including:
• Loading fish onto trucks
• Feeding and caring for fish
• Grading and handling fish
• Performing general facility maintenance and equipment
• Monitoring fish health and general husbandry
Work often begins early in the morning and may be performed in all types of weather.
Qualifications
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must possess a valid California driver’s license
• Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Must be able to follow instructions and accurately record information
• Must be reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with pumps, farm equipment, or small engines
• Farming or ranching experience
