Wage Range: $18.00 – $21.00

Empower Tehama is a nonprofit organization in rural Northern California. Our mission is to promote healthy relationships and social change in our communities. We offer many services for individuals and families affected by domestic violence including crisis intervention, support advocacy, legal services, housing assistance and counseling.

About the Job

This position is part of a team that provides wide-ranging housing services including ensuring housing facilities are clean, organized, and in good working order; providing crisis intervention, advocacy support, accompaniment and/or transportation for housing participants; mentoring and supporting clients in developing everyday life skills; supervising and assisting housing clients with household skills; facilitating and attending housing meetings and timely documentation of services; other duties as assigned.

Must be proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel; Must be well-organized with attention to detail. Must be able to work with a broad range of people and maintain an environment that is conducive to serving high-risk populations and people in crisis. Strong active listening skills, good decision-making, a non-judgmental and accepting attitude. Requires completion of a 40-hour domestic violence crisis intervention certification training (post-hire requirement).

This position may be full or part-time (24 – 40 hours per week). Staff may be required to work weekends and/or after hours.
