Description

As our Human Resources Coordinator you will be responsible for supporting the payroll process, management of timecard attestation and paycheck escheatment processes, coordinating the benefit experience, and responding to third-party requests for information.

Key Responsibilities include:
Support full-cycle payroll

  • Perform data entry into HRIS system for new hires, status changes, income withholding orders, etc.
  • Review discrepancy and audit reports from outsourced payroll vendor; work with managers to correct prior to payroll deadlines.
  • Prepare final checks and termination paperwork.
  • Partner with outsourced payroll vendor to ensure timely processing of bi-weekly and off-cycle payrolls.
  • Prepare necessary reports as required by vendors and/or requested by management or auditors.

Manage the attestation and escheatment processes

  • Perform wage and hour audits to ensure regulatory compliance, including management of the timecard attestation process.
  • Establish and monitor the outstanding check escheatment process.
  • Work collaboratively with Finance to identify and process outstanding checks in accordance with the escheatment process.

Coordinate the team member benefit experience

  • Assist team members through the benefit enrollment process, including tracking completion and addressing requests.
  • Provide support for day-to-day benefit questions including printing temporary insurance cards.
  • Coordinate the Wellness Program experience for team members, including updating the HRIS with achieved discount tier.

Respond to third party employment requests

  • Process all verifications of employment (VOE).
  • Respond to Employment Development Department (EDD) and other state unemployment claims or related requests.
  • Respond to all Child Support Services requests for information and process accordingly.
Requirements
  • An associate degree in human resources, business, or a related field; two additional years’ experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • One year payroll, human resources, business administration, or related experience.
  • Working knowledge of navigating and maintaining an HRIS system, preferably UKG Ready (Kronos).
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook.

Preferred

  • Bilingual Spanish, Hmong, or Punjabi preferred.

Compensation: $20.00 – $25.00/hour DOE
