Located in the greater Redding area, the Mountain Valley Special Education JPA is a consortium of 13 small school districts and one charter school that was created to provide a broader continuum of services for students with disabilities.
Job Summary
This opening is for Black Butte Elementary School. The aide’s primary responsibility is to assist with student safety and to help student participate in class activities to the maximum extent possible. The aide also helps implement the curriculum for the student under the direction of teacher(s) or principal. Performs related duties as assigned.

Required before hire: First aide/CPR certification
High School Diploma, GED equivalent or highest college degree completed
Proof of one of the following:
Passed 48 units of college coursework
AA degree
Passed CBEST
Passed ESSA compliant Paraprofessional test offered at Shasta County Office of Education

Work days: Monday – Friday School Hours
