Job Description: Under the general supervision of the Direct Services Program Supervisor, the Elder and Dependent Abuse Specialist purpose is to enhance the safety of elder and dependent adult victims/survivors by providing crisis intervention, education, peer counseling, resource and referral, and support services in a trauma-informed care and advocacy-based counseling model at the business office, other Lassen Family Services locations, and within the community.  Documentation of services will include developing case plans and completing progress notes.  Work involves handling sensitive issues and confidential information requiring discretion.

Valid CA Driver's License. * Possession of, or the ability to obtain within six (6) months of employment the Crisis Intervention Peer Counseling (CIPC) training. * Ability to maintain continuing education requirements for CIPC training. * Possession of, or ability to obtain, CPR certification.
