Brief Description:

The position of line cook consists of managing the daily preparation of food items for a station or a specific area in a kitchen and cooking and plating all food orders in an efficient and attractive manner.

Tasks Overview:

  • Present food using proper plate presentation
  • Organize & stock work stations for each shift
  • Check & maintain coolers and storage areas for cleanliness, quantity & quality
  • Take proper care of ranges, ovens, broilers, fryers, utensils and other equipment
  • Work in team-oriented environment and under demanding conditions
  • Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products served
  • Help train and offer direction politely
  • Prep daily list
  • Prepare & cook steak, burgers, chicken and fish
  • Cook multiple tickets at once in a fast-paced restaurant
  • Communicate with other side of kitchen & service team
  • Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
  • Open and close kitchen properly and assist other in closing the kitchen
  • Handles, stores and rotates all products properly
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Hiring Requirements: Reference Checks, Serve Safe Certificate, Minimum 6 Months Experience

Education Level: No Minimum Education Required

Minimum Salary: 14.00 Hour    

 Maximum Salary: 15.50 Hour
