Dulce Cocina Mexican Cafe is looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented Cook who’s excited about working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. If you are passionate about food prep, enjoy working with a team and have restaurant experience, we encourage you to apply for this job.

Starting Pay: $17hr-$18hr DOE
Part time (~20 hours weekly) with potential to become fulltime
The Line Cook is a member of the kitchen team, who will work closely with all other positions in the Back of the House operations to cook and expedite food to the guests ordering onsite and to-go. The Line Cook, who reports to the BOH Supervisor Team, operates grills, fryers, and other commercial cooking equipment to prepare and serve food.
What You Will Do:
Prepares and plates, in accordance to standardized recipes approved only by the Chef. Maintains prepped food levels as directed by the supervisor on duty.
Ensures all equipment, tools, and workings areas are safe, clean, well maintained, and in proper working condition. May be assigned additional work within the restaurant operation as needed.
Requirements:
A pattern of regular, prompt, dependable attendance required
Exceptional communication and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
CA Food Handler’s Card upon hire required
Must be able to work weekends
