Overview
As a maintenance laborer, your primary responsibility is to ensure the proper care and maintenance of outdoor spaces. Here is a general job description for a maintenance laborer in the landscaping industry:
- Landscape Maintenance: You will be responsible for performing various tasks to maintain the landscape, such as mowing, edging, trimming, and pruning plants and trees. This includes using equipment like lawnmowers, trimmers, and hand tools to keep the outdoor areas clean and well-maintained.
- Plant Care: You will assist with planting flowers, shrubs, and trees, as well as watering fertilizing, and applying pesticides or herbicides as required. Monitoring the health and appearance of plants and reporting any issues or concerns to the supervisor is an important part of the role.
- Safety and Cleanliness: Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment is essential. This includes properly storing tools and equipment, disposing of waste, and adhering to company policies and procedures.
