Job Title: Maintenance Worker

Location: Alturas, CA
Job Type: Full-Time, Day Shift, On-Call, On-site (Benefit eligible)
Pay: $22.04–$32.23/hr, DOE
Description:
Modoc Medical Center is accepting applications for a Full-Time Maintenance Worker in the Facilities Department. This position performs preventative maintenance and repairs to facility structures, equipment, utilities, and grounds, working across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, construction, mechanical, and general maintenance to support safe and reliable facility operations.
Essential Functions:
- Perform preventative maintenance and general facility repairs
- Maintain HVAC systems, equipment, and associated controls
- Repair minor electrical, mechanical, and plumbing problems
- Maintain facility structures, equipment, and building systems
- Complete inspections, maintenance, and repair documentation
- Maintain grounds and parking areas, including snow removal
- Support safe and reliable operation of facility systems
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–3 years of related experience or training required
- Knowledge of building systems, maintenance, and repair
- Current California Driver’s License and valid insurance
- Ability to work flexible hours and rotating emergency call
