Overview

Responsibilities

As the Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for the scheduling and completion of repairs for incoming equipment. This will include:

  • Inspecting equipment to ensure it is working properly, identifying issues with maintenance schedules, and making repairs
  • Installing or repairing hydraulic components such as cylinders, pumps, motors, or valves
  • Repairing or replacing hydraulic systems in vehicles, including commercial trucks, buses, boats, and machinery used in construction or mining operations
  • Diagnosing problems with hydraulic systems and repairing them using hand tools, power tools, and computerized diagnostic equipment
  • Inspecting hydraulic systems to ensure they are always operating safely and efficiently
  • Installing hydraulic hoses and fittings onto hydraulic cylinders, motors, and other machines
  • Repairing hydraulic equipment by replacing seals, gaskets, filters, and other components
  • Installing, servicing, repairing, and maintaining hydraulic systems, including power steering systems, brake systems, lift gates, and fluid couplings
  • Maintaining records of maintenance activities and repairs performed on hydraulic systems

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a mechanic
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems and components
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings
  • Strong attention to detail

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a mechanic
  • Experience with heavy equipment
  • Leadership skills
  • Forklift certification

Compensation and Benefits

  • $18.50 – $24.50 – Depending on experience
  • Medical, Dental, Retirement
  • Work Schedule 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Monday through Friday, some Saturdays may be required
  • Overtime may be required during Harvest Season

Minimum Months of Experience: 24
Education Required: High School
Minimum Hourly Wage: 18.50
Maximum Hourly Wage: 24.50
