Bennett Apiaries, Inc. is seeking a passionate and skilled Millwright and Equipment Maintenance Technician with a robust electrical background and fabrication experience. We value individuals with a comprehensive understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems, who have expertise in machinery installation, disassembly, repairs, and troubleshooting. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and equipment. We are looking for the kind of person for whom this type of work is “play” and who loves what they do.
Responsibilities:
Machinery Installation and Repairs:
- Use mechanical skills for the installation, modification, and disassembly of diverse
machinery and equipment. - Handle repairs, adjustments, and replacements of components such as bearings,
gearboxes, motors, conveyor belts, rolls, pulleys, etc. - Address breakdowns efficiently to minimize production downtime.
Preventative Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance to optimize equipment performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical problems.
- Handle electrical concerns involving control panels, PLCs, and electrical cabinets.
Electrical Expertise:
- Resolve intricate electrical problems.
- Engage with control panels, PLCs, electrical timers, etc.
- Understand electrical wiring, circuits, and schematics.
Equipment Modification and Improvement:
- Design modifications for improved equipment efficiency.
- Collaborate on the development of preventative maintenance schedules and
procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years in a role similar to Millwright, Equipment Maintenance Technician,
or related. - Strong electrical background and expertise in electrical system troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in reading machine blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Comprehensive troubleshooting skills across various systems (mechanical, hydraulic,
pneumatic, and electrical). - Experience in operating heavy machinery.
- Welding and fabrication expertise, specifically in arc and MIG.
- Familiarity with equipment like lathes, milling machines, horizontal saws, grinders,
plasma torches, and pipe threaders. - Ability to work independently without supervision.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration capabilities.
- Willingness to relocate if necessary.
