MODOC COUNTY PROBATION DEPARTMENT has an opening for a Probation Officer I/II.

The optimal candidate will have experience with probation, law enforcement, social work, and/or the courts. This position will be responsible for typical Probation Officer duties including investigations, dispositional reports, supervision of defendants and youth, foster care placement, diversion, intervention, collection of urinalysis tests and court appearances. To qualify for this position, a person must be able to pass a background check, have a valid driver’s license and be free from felony convictions. The ability to successfully complete PC 832 training, the Probation Officer and Placement Core training are also necessary. Successful applicants will be invited for testing.
