Certified Phlebotomy Technician: Full time, benefited position available – willing to consider part time, benefited. Must have a current CA Phlebotomy certification in good standing. We are seeking a candidate who has a thorough understanding of various phlebotomy techniques, can obtain blood samples from patients and residents without unnecessary trauma or pain and understands and uses accepted practices of patient identification prior to performing phlebotomy. Our ideal candidate would have at least one year of relevant experience; however, we are willing to consider a new graduate. Starting wage is $25/hour, plus benefits.

Trinity Hospital is located in Trinity County, a mountainous, forested area that is located between Redding and Eureka. It is nestled in the basin just below the beautiful Trinity Alps and is a historic gold rush town.
Trinity Hospital is owned and operated by Mountain Communities Healthcare
District and has been in existence at its present location in Weaverville since the late 1800’s. During the early years, it was home to approximately five elderly residents and had one or two beds for acute care patients.
Today, Trinity Hospital has 25 acute care beds, 25 skilled nursing beds. The hospital offers a 24 hour emergency room, surgical services, and provides many out patient services including laboratory, diagnostic imaging, physical therapy, home health, and two rural health clinics.
Each month, 35 to 40 patients are admitted for acute care and approximately 20 surgeries and 34 endoscopic procedures are performed. The emergency room is staffed with in house physicians and is very busy, especially during the summer tourist season. The laboratory has state of the art chemistry and hematology analyzers, and provides basic bacteriology, immune hematology and coagulation services. The diagnostic imaging department provides basic x-rays, ultrasound, and CT scan services.
