Overview
Plumas Rural Services Domestic Violence Program is seeking a good candidate to be a Domestic Violence Advocate in our overnight shelter.
The DVS program provides counseling, legal assistance, emergency shelter, housing and job search assistance, food, clothing and transportation for survivors of domestic abuse and their children. Under broad supervision, the Domestic Violence Advocate works directly with clients and their children at the emergency shelter. Services to clients including the 14 shelter-based standards set by California law.The successful candidate must pass a background check.
The pay scales for this position depend upon candidate’s training in the 40hr Domestic Violence training. Candidate without the 40hr training has a pay scale of $16.96-$18.70/hr. Candidate that has the 40hr training has a pay scale of $18.32-$20.20/hr.
This position offers a scaled hiring bonus. The successful candidate will be offered a bonus at 3 months ($100); 6 months ($150) and 12 months ($250).
