Qualification Summary:
In this position, you will serve as the Prevention Coordination Specialist at an Air Force/Space Force installation. Under the direction of the Integrated Prevention Chief, the Prevention Coordination Specialist develops and delivers integrated prevention and resilience programs, activities and resources specifically tailored to address personal readiness, local/unique risk and protective factors of the population served. This position is responsible for development and delivery of comprehensive, coordinated prevention and resilience activities (which including training), and outreach (including strategic messaging and marketing), to deliver optimal support to the installation’s Total Force and families. Collaborates and integrates primary prevention efforts in areas such as sexual assault, family violence (including intimate partner violence and child abuse and neglect), workplace violence (including harassment, bullying, and hazing), suicide, and alcohol abuse/misuse prevention.

    Given the sensitivity of the position, a criminal background check must be completed.

    Degree: At least a bachelor’s degree in a behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
    Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
    Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.

    Comprehensive and professional knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies as well as behavioral, social science and/or public health practices principles and theories relating to the prevention of violence.


Salary: $96,148 – 108,966 based on experience
