The position offers an educational leader the unique opportunity to make a difference for all
students. The principal shall provide dynamic educational leadership for all aspects of the
school programs including 21st Century teaching and learning; personnel supervision and
evaluation; organizational management; school to home to community relationships;
coordination of special programs, equipment and supplies; facility and budget management,
and student activities.
Requirements / Qualifications
-Appropriate administrative credential. -Minimum of 3 years of continuous, full time, active employment in public school system preferred. -California teaching credential. -Ability to work independently with a high level of accountability. -Prior successful administrative experience preferred. -Masters Degree preferred.

The Plumas Unified School District covers almost all of Plumas County. The school district ADA is approximately 1,850. The Plumas Unified School District encompasses about the same area as the State of Delaware. It is approximately 80 road miles from Chester Junior/Senior High School in the north to Portola Junior/Senior High School on the eastern boundary. Each community has a clearly defined personality and identity that makes it unique.
