Job description
This is a laboratory-based position with a focus on performing experiments needed to analyze products and optimize reactions. The right candidate will possess a solid educational foundation in one or more of the areas below, coupled with strong laboratory skills and the ability to work independently after purposes and directions have been delivered.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Working closely with scientists in the team to support research.
• Working with various analytical instruments
• Laboratory techniques
• Strong mathematical skills
• Preparing reagents and making binders
• Maintaining accurate and detailed records and effectively communicating research findings.
• Establishing and adherence to quality control and preventative maintenance systems.
• Collecting and analyzing data for accuracy, precision, sensitivity, and specificity
• Performing statistical analysis of laboratory results
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related discipline
• 1-2 years of lab experience (academic, or industrial). Professional Skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to design and execute experiments independently
• Ability to carefully follow instructions the first time given
• Comfortable working in a team environment
• Experience with Microsoft office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
