The Certified Medical Assistant (MA) is responsible for the coordination of patient care needs during the office visit and assisting the nursing personnel and medical staff as needed. The MA assists with clinical and business office duties. EOE
Required Education: Current CPR Certification.CMA Certification or willing to obtain within 6 months of employment through a National or California certifying agency: American Association of Medical Assistants American Medical Technologists California Certifying Board of Medical Assistants Multiskilled Medical Certification Institute. Preferred Education: Graduate from a medical assisting program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) Experience: 2 years of clinical experience preferred. Use of electronic medical record preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to apply good clinical judgment, plan work, establish priorities and maintain flexibility. Proficient written and verbal skills. Ability to instruct and teach. Ability to use a computer proficientlyMinimum Education and Experience
