Schedulers are responsible for scheduling visits for Plumas District Hospital Rural Health Centers and accurately obtaining required demographic and insurance information for the electronic medical record (EMR), government requirements, billing, and third party payer needs. EOE

Additional Application:

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent, preferred. Experience: Two years in the medical field and familiarity with medical terminology preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent reading, writing and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to use a computer proficiently; ability to type a minimum of 25 wpm; ability to work professionally with patients, staff and management. Familiarity with all types of healthcare insurance plans including but not limited to; commercial, HMO’s, managed care plans, worker compensation and government coverages.
