Overview

SUMMARY

Transfer Flow sells automotive auxiliary, replacement and original equipment fuel systems to retail, aftermarket, and automotive manufacturers/dealers. The Sales staff is responsible for inside sales functions and each person in this role is a very visible member of the company. Due to the interaction with the customers and public, it is important that each person always conducts himself or herself with a professional attitude.

Please note: Excellent telephone skills are mandatory for this position and the majority of the day involves the use of the telephone. This is an often-stressful position and the ability to effectively manage stress is very important. Organization and self-motivation are essential aspects of this position.

Essential Job Functions

  • Makes specific product recommendations, taking, and recording orders, answering questions, responding to customer problems, offering basic technical support by means of phones, fax, and emails.
  • Follows up on sales leads, initiates sales calls to prospective customers and handles customer complaint issues.
  • May also periodically travel to attend trade shows or visit customers.
  • Addresses the general aftermarket product inquiries and for the customer service requirements of assigned, specific original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customers.
  • Correctly handles a variety of tasks simultaneously and always represent Transfer Flow’s interests.
  • Communicates technical information in a simple, clear, and concise manner.
  • Handles difficult people and situations in a positive manner.
  • Interacts cooperatively with all departments within Transfer Flow to ensure the successful development of new products, response to problems, and maintenance of each customer account.
  • Be adaptable and constantly learning about our products, our customer’s needs, and the opportunities available to Transfer Flow, Inc.
  • TFI requires all members of our staff to fulfill all job functions in a consistent state of alertness and work in a safe manner.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge and Skills

English Language Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Stress Management The ability to effectively manage stress and prioritize tasks is very important at TFI.

Critical Thinking Requires the ability to quickly gather information, utilize logical thought, and make reasoned decisions.

Active Listening Must be able to demonstrate superb active listening to both acquire the necessary information from the customer and to be able to demonstrate to the customer that we care about their experience with Transfer Flow, Inc.

Active Learning This role will encounter many different customers, industries and requirements that change with the varying technological advancements and the products that Transfer Flow, Inc. designs and sells.

Minimum Requirements Education, Certifications and Licenses

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Required minimum 2 years sales experience with aftermarket and OEM products
  • Required minimum of AA or AS degree
  • Must have previous phone sales experience
  • Familiarity with pickup truck, recreational vehicle and mobility access vehicles is preferred
